The Yountville Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee is comprised of chamber business members, chamber Associate members and board members. The role of the Marketing Committee is to oversee all Marketing efforts for the destination of Yountville.
The Marketing Committee meets every other month, the second week of the month on Thursdays.
This committee is open to all members.
Below is a summary of the agenda items that were discussed during the October 2020 meeting.
Mering marketing Campaign Update
Yountville
The marketing campaign for the destination of Yountville was put on hold during the Glass Fire. Yountville will follow Visit Napa Valley’s lead as to when it is appropriate to turn the campaign back on. Before the Glass Fire broke out the campaign was doing very well. The landing page for the campaign is currently the most visited webpage on yountville.com.
Up Valley Marketing Effort
Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga also have put their group marketing effort with Mering on hold. This project will need to be re-focused after the Glass Fire. We are hoping to be able to re-launch something in late October/ early November.
Holidays in Yountville
Holidays in Yountville is right around the corner!
Businesses have four ways they can participate this year:
- Submit Virtual Events
- Submit a Gift Guide Package
- Submit a recipe for the Yountville Cookbook
- Participate in the Virtual Yountville Light Tour Video (Yountville Businesses only)
The deadline to be featured in all the marketing materials is Friday, October 9. Members can still submit items after October 9 but they will not be featured in the Press Release.
Fire Recovery Efforts
The Yountville Chamber turned off all paid advertising during the Glass Fire. Our social media messaging was one of solidarity with the other towns in Napa County but made it clear that Yountville it’s self was not being directly impacted by the fires.
Our Social Media and other marketing efforts are now sending out clear messaging that Yountville and the Napa Valley are open and ready for visitors.
Yountville Visitors Guide and Map
The Yountville Visitors Guide and map will both be updated in early January 2021. The Visitors Guide will only be updated digitally at this time. We will plan to print just the Yountville map to have at the Welcome Center and in the new “map boxes” that are placed around town.
Locals Night
The Yountville Chamber is excited to bring back Locals Night in January 2021! Staff will be working on outreach Yountville businesses in December 2020.
